Spend an evening with John Kneeshaw and Julian Best who will look at layout and train control using JMRI and TrainController.
John says: We will look at some of the layout and train operation capabilities of the open-source software package JMRI, starting with simple track diagrams with turnout control and then the basics of route setting.
Julian says: … and after John has looked at the principles of train control using JMRI, I will show how this can be used with TrainController software. Whether you just want to click on points to change them, set routes using a simulated NX panel, drag and drop trains between stations, or have partial or full automation, TrainController is very flexible.
The event takes place on Thursday 26th September @ 20:00 BST.
The event is FREE to members or £3:00 for non-members.
You must register for this event as places are limited - registration will be open from the 27th August 2024.
