Scale 7 Group Spring Meeting 2026

Our Spring meeting will be held at The Village Hall, Albury, Hertfordshire on Saturday 25th April. The meeting will be from 10.00 to 1600 with an entrance fee of £7.00 which will include tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day. As in previous years there be a lunch available to purchase on the day.

This is another great opportunity for as many of us as possible to get together, meet old friends, make new ones and talk model railways.

You don’t have to be a Scale 7 modeller to attend the meeting, whatever your interest whether it be 2mm, 3mm, 4mm or 7mm FS come along and see what we’re up to and feel free to bring along examples of your modelling.

I’m pleased to say that Ian Norman will again bring his layout, Newbourne, which whilst still under construction is operational. The layout is a loop which will allow continuous running.  Please bring locos and stock that you would like to run on the day.

Adrian Marks has beginnings of his Great Eastern layout, Angel Yard, which he will show us and be there to discuss all things Great Eastern.

Last year we were very fortunate to have John Jones join us to discuss and demonstrate 3d printed trackwork. This subject has moved on very quickly over the last year and given how well it was received in 2025 I very pleased to say that John will join again this year.

Again, there will be the opportunity to visit the Love Lane layout, it is only a very short drive from the hall. Work is still taking place so you will be able to see the plans and progress made to date. The layout will be operational, if you have any DCC fitted locos you are welcome to give them a run.

Other exhibitors will be Masterpiece Models , Intentio, laser cut buildings and structures and Mark Wood Wheels.

The Love Lane ‘previously owned’ table will have a selection of books, magazines and assorted modelling items for sale.

We will also have a couple of tables where our members can display and discuss their latest projects.

 The address is:

Albury is easily reached from either East, M11 or West, A10 and then on to the A120. There is now a by-pass around Little Hadham so avoid taking the new road and continue along the old. At the Little Hadham traffic lights, turning to the north for around 3 miles will lead to Albury Village. The Village Hall is signposted from the centre of the village.

If you have any questions please contact me, details are in the S7 Newsletter.
