Limited Edition Dapol Wagon For Sale produced for this event
Back in the dark days of 2021, having heard the news of the cancellation of “Guildex” due to the pandemic, a small group of Severn Valley Railway volunteers who happen to have an interest in O gauge modelling organised an impromptu event at the Engine House, Highley. Holding it on the same weekend we attracted half a dozen layouts and just as many traders along with a small handful of displays and demonstrations, this attracted a good crowd and brought the SVR some much needed cash after a lean year. Amazing considering that we threw the event together in the space of about 6 weeks.
So, this year we are returning with a bigger and better (and hopefully better organised…!) event, still held at The Engine House, Highley on the 24th and 25th September. The heritage railway is running their usual timetabled trains, which makes getting to the event much easier. Furthermore, we have a discount to offer to all Guild members; when purchasing your “Freedom of the line” tickets at any SVR booking office on the 24th or 25th September a 33% discount will be deducted when your Guild membership card is shown.
Layouts so far booked this year include Luton MRCs Harpenden East (making its final appearance on the exhibition circuit), Kevin Cartwright’s Stodmarsh, Exeter St. George & Bury, Thorn & Sons from MIOG, The SVRs own Bridgnorth Station diorama and loco display plus much more.
Traders include Ellis Clark, Dapol, Connoisseur and Walsworth models.
