Our AGM passed off rather quickly, on friday 31st January. Following the election of officers , all returned enblock , and with satisfactory finances to cover our meetings and running costs, attention turned to the test track , this has served us well over the years, and serious consideration is to be given to either a refurbishment or a new build. Derek our chairman will produce costs and plans for the next meeting.
Running on the top three rail track , were items from B/Lowke, Hornby, and a handbuilt Ivatt 2-6-2. The two rail lower tracks saw a new western, H class with maunsell push pull, also a R class with gate set push pull , plus another 10000 from the late Dave Barker.
A very nice hand built footbridge was sold to a member to boost club funds. 23 people turned out on the most foul of evenings.

About the Group

The Thanet 0 Gauge group was founded 50 years ago, to give enthusiasts of all things "0" gauge a place to meet and run their locomotives and rolling stock.
We have a large four lane test track that is on two levels comprising of a double coarse scale track on the top with a double fine scale on the lower level.
With all four tracks running you can just sit back with a cup of tea, have a chat and watch the trains pass by.
The club meets on the last Friday of every month, not December. At Kerns Hall, Grenham Bay Ave, Birchington, Kent,
CT7 9NN
We cater for all types of "O " gauge from clockwork, coarse scale two and three rail. and fine scale.
Our members come from Thanet, Dover, Herne Bay, and Canterbury.
New members are always welcome. So if you have 0 gauge locos and rolling stock bring them along for a run. or just turn up for a cup of tea and a chat while watching the trains go by.
