Club Notes
We have been given notice to leave our premises of over 10 years. Plans are being prepared for our move, an Action Plan has been developed and we hope that negotiations might be completed by the time the Covid-19 situation is more under control. In line with current restrictions, no physical meetings are taking place.

Layouts
NameDescriptionPortable
AmberdaleOriginally called the Layout in a Shed and created for BRM magazines. We have extended this roundy roundy layout Amberdale is a single line secondary route through the Peak District of North Derbyshire in the late 1950's to early 1960's. Motive power for this period is steam with early green diesels.
Canons CrossOriginally built for BRM from off the shelf components, this OO layout is based on the Southern Region of BR in the 1950/60s and operates with Steam, diesel and EMU's. It is a small terminus to fiddle yard layout.
Gila Canyon 1957This is an N Gauge, members layout with a small Nn3 section.
It depicts an area in the semi-desert of South Western USA at the period when steam had just been eliminated and long distance passenger traffic was declining in 1957
Springbluff City 1957An N Gauge members layout depicting a small industrial town near Denver, Colorado, away from the important main lines which carry the long-distance passenger and heavy freight trains.
WoodcroftWoodcroft is an EM Gauge layout depicting a small through station on an imaginary single-track line built to give access to Stamford from the Great Northern main line. It's main purpose was to allow for through running of coaches from King's Cross via Peterborough to Stamford.
The station has a single platform and a run round loop for goods trains. A small brickyard in the vicinity (so typical of the area) with sidings gives much useful goods traffic. The layout is operated in the GNR / LNER period.
