It is often quite surprising how much value can build up when collecting
models, and O gauge railway models are no exception.
This value is often not appreciated by those who have the task of realising the assets of a deceased's estate. To this end the Guild established the Service for Executor and Trustees whose
task was to help executors obtain a fair price for models which they
wish to sell.
The Service for Executors and Trustees has been suspended and new estates will not be accepted.
The committee is currently looking at the potential for a service run on a regional basis. For this to succeed we need volunteers prepared to assist in re-establishing the service.
A number of members have stepped forward but there are areas of the country which are not yet covered.
If you think you may be able to help, please contact the chairman, John Birch, or the membership secretary,
Geoffrey Goddin, via the Guild Officers page.
